Core Values:
The following eight core values represent the essence of what World Harvest Mission is to be and to do, and will shape the planning and implementation of our mission.
- Centrality of the Gospel
The gospel unites us to the Living Christ as the continuing ground, motive, and method of our mission work.
- Primacy of Missions
We are captive to the first words the risen Christ spoke to his assembled disciples, "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you."
- Kingdom centered prayer
Our desire is that prayerful dependence uniquely characterizes our mission work, in a way that involves staff, missionaries and ministry partners.
- Ministering from weakness
We will not hesitate to confess or boast in our weaknesses in a way that shows the all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
- People focused ministry
God has called us to move by grace with faith to love others, and not just educate, manage or treat.
- Evangelism and church planting
We will not count our work of evangelism and discipleship finished in an area until self-supporting, indigenously led, reproducing churches are planted.
- Training, equipping and mobilizing leadership
We are committed to gospel discipling and preparing new leaders in Christ-centered living and grace-filled leadership.
- Encouragement of churches and pastors
We are committed to encouraging pastors in personal and congregational renewal as well as encouraging greater involvement in the mission of world evangelization.
