London provides
an ideal location for apprentices to significantly contribute to an on-going ministry and at the same time be immersed in the religions and cultures of some of the least reached people groups on earth. London is home to some 750,00 South Asians concentrated in a few areas of the city. English is either a first or second language for the majority and thus language does not pose a great obstacle to immediate ministry.
The World Harvest UK School of Cross-Cultural ministry seeks to mobilize a short term mission work force by placing one and two year missionary apprentices in cross-cultural ministry alongside existing church planting teams working in the South Asian communities living in London. It thus offers the opportunity to receive training in missions and cross-cultural ministry in the context of daily hands-on experience of ministering to people of other faiths. London Apprentices will assist the WHM church planting team while determining their gifts and calling to career missions.
